My Journey to Essential Oils: An Anti-Itch Concoction

I know a lot have seen and I do hope at least some have read about my previous post on becoming a Young Living Member including its perks and discounts offered. I have also posted about the receipt of my first order which is full of messy videos  but packed withreal time excitement.

Now, I am writing about how I have avoided scratching for several days now. I have also tried this mixture with my son and it worked on him too, although he is less compliant than I am given that he’s only 5.

The mixture is composed of Lavender, Peppermint, Lemon and Avocado Oil as the carrier. By now, my social media circle (not that I am famous or something!) already knows that lavender and peppermint are my fave oils. I am still trying to get a hang of the lemony scent since it usually makes me dizzy but the avocado oil evens out the smell, albeit a little pricey (I don’t know why I had to always insert the expensiveness of that – perhaps it still hurts my feelings a little bit, don’t you think?)

So here’s what I did (by the way, a friend told me about this mix, I just used avocado oil instead of coconut and added lemon since she just mixed lavender and peppermint), I mixed 10 drops from each of the aforementioned oils (except the carrier) and I just poured avocado oil (the carrier) on my mini bottle spray bought from Whites until it’s almost full. Avocado oil won them over (scent-wise) but you will still be able to smell hints of peppermint and lavender – thank God lemon got lost in the process.

This mixture worked well on me. I have this itchy knuckles and it gets a little so dry and “textury” but with the help of these oils, it’s now starting to feel normalized.

I am really happy to have found the value of these oils. It’s a rejuvenating journey!
